Refurbished ThinkPad T450 with 1TB SATA SSD

This refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T450 combines a 14.1-inch display, Intel Core i5-5300U processor and 16GB of DDR3L memory with a 1TB SATA 2.5-inch SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and includes an AC adapter. The Grade B rating indicates minor cosmetic wear such as small scratches or dents while the unit remains fully functional. Integrated graphics, a webcam and Wi-Fi are built in.

Suited for everyday office work.

The 16GB memory ceiling and integrated graphics make it appropriate for document editing, web browsing and video playback. Buyers who need a touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity or a dedicated graphics card for heavier creative or gaming workloads should look at other models. The maximum supported memory is 16GB, so there is no headroom for future RAM upgrades.

16GB DDR3L memory fixed at the maximum

The system ships with 16GB of SODIMM DDR3L and the platform supports no more than 16GB, so the memory configuration cannot be expanded. If your workflow requires more than 16GB of RAM, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Can the 16GB DDR3L memory be upgraded later?

The laptop supports a maximum of 16GB DDR3L, so the installed memory is already at the limit and cannot be expanded further.

What limits performance first when the Core i5-5300U runs at 2.30GHz under sustained load?

The integrated graphics share system memory and the dual-core processor will hit thermal limits before the 1TB SATA SSD becomes a bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the T450 get when it runs all day on the included AC adapter?

With no mechanical hard drive the system stays quiet; the fan spins up under load but the 14.1" chassis dissipates heat adequately for typical office workloads.
