ThinkPad T450S 14-inch business Ultrabook

This refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T450S is a 14.0 inch business Ultrabook running Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit. It uses an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 8 GB memory and a 512 GB SATA SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles the display.

Suits mobile professionals needing a light 14-inch

The 14.0 inch non-touch screen, 8 GB memory and 512 GB SSD fit office work and travel. Buyers who need discrete graphics, Bluetooth or more than 12 GB memory should look elsewhere. The system includes 802.11ac wireless LAN, three USB ports and a webcam.

Memory ceiling fixed at 12 GB maximum supported

The platform supports a maximum of 12 GB memory, so the installed 8 GB cannot be expanded beyond that limit. This cap decides whether the laptop can handle heavier multitasking or virtual machines. The 512 GB SATA 2.5 inch SSD and integrated graphics remain unchanged.

Questions about this item

How long can the 17 hour battery claim last under sustained use?

The manufacturer rates the battery up to 17 hours, but real-world run time drops with screen brightness, Wi-Fi use and heavier workloads.

Does the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 run hot or loud during all-day operation?

Integrated graphics share system memory and produce little heat; the laptop stays quiet under typical office tasks but fans spin up under sustained load.

What must I already own to use the SATA 2.5" 512GB SSD if I want to add a second drive?

This model uses a single 2.5" SATA bay occupied by the included SSD; adding another drive requires a caddy or replacing the existing one.
