Lenovo ThinkPad T450S 14.0" Business Laptop

This refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T450S is a 14.0-inch business ultrabook powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.30 GHz. It comes with 12GB of DDR3L memory and a 256GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed. The system uses integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500.

Suited to office work and mobility.

The lightweight chassis and long battery life suit professionals who need a reliable device for document editing, web browsing and video calls on the move. The integrated graphics and fixed 12GB memory limit make it unsuitable for buyers who want gaming performance, GPU-accelerated rendering or the ability to add more RAM later.

Soldered 12GB DDR3L memory cannot be upgraded

The 12GB capacity is the maximum the platform supports and the modules are not user-replaceable. Buyers who anticipate needing more memory for virtual machines or large datasets should look at a different system.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 GB DDR3L memory limit how many virtual machines I can run on the Intel Core i5-5300U?

The laptop ships with 12 GB DDR3L, which is the maximum the board supports. That amount is adequate for light virtualization, but heavy multi-VM workloads will hit the ceiling.

Can I keep using my existing SATA 2.5-inch drive caddy when I upgrade the 256 GB SSD?

Yes. The storage bay uses a standard SATA 2.5-inch interface, so any compatible caddy or drive tray you already own will fit without modification.

How do I confirm the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 is active after installing Windows 10 Home 64-bit?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel HD Graphics 5500 appears without error codes. Run a short video to check smooth playback.
