Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 Intel Laptop

This 14.0" FHD IPS touchscreen laptop runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor. It ships with 16GB DDR4 3200 memory and a 1TB SSD. The anti-glare display reaches 300 nits and includes a 720p camera. It suits mobile professionals and students needing a portable, secure device.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 2.80GHz quad-core processor handles everyday office applications and multitasking within its integrated UHD Graphics envelope. Under continuous load the CPU manages thermals by adjusting clocks rather than sustaining peak turbo indefinitely. The 16GB DDR4 3200 memory supports smooth operation with multiple browser tabs and productivity suites. Discrete NVIDIA 450MX graphics are not fitted to this configuration.

Thermals noise and power

At 1.5kg and 17.9mm thin, the aluminium chassis dissipates heat through its surface area during typical use. Fan activity remains low during document editing or video playback, rising only during extended heavy tasks. The 720p camera and Bluetooth 5.0 module add minimal power draw. Battery life varies with screen brightness and workload intensity.
