Lenovo 150 W PSU for ThinkCentre Edge AIOs

This 150 W power supply carries part number 54Y8892 and is built for Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge all-in-one models M72Z, 91Z and M83Z. It replaces the original internal unit when that unit fails or when a spare is kept on hand for rapid service. The form factor matches the slim chassis used by these Edge AIOs.

Direct replacement restores factory power delivery

Swapping in this unit returns the system to its rated 150 W without adapter cables or firmware changes. It does not add extra connectors for discrete graphics or additional drives, so builders needing supplemental power for upgrades will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 54Y8892 unit need its internal fan replaced after long-term use?

The 150 Watt power supply uses a built-in cooling fan; if it becomes noisy or stops spinning, the whole unit is normally swapped rather than servicing the fan alone.

What limits continuous output when the ThinkCentre Edge M72Z 91Z M83Z runs at full load?

The 150 Watt rating is the hard ceiling; sustained draw above that trips the over-current protection and shuts the system down.
