IdeaCentre Tower 8 Ryzen 7 250

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Tower 8 is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8-core Ryzen 7 250 processor with 16 threads and a 5.1 GHz boost clock. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Home 64-bit is pre-installed. The system suits office workers and home users who need responsive multitasking in a compact Luna Grey chassis.

Bundled DKZ USB Hub

A portable Dockztorm USB hub is included in the box and adds a 5 Gbps data connection for extra peripherals. The desktop itself provides two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, HDMI, DisplayPort and a headphone/microphone combo jack. A USB keyboard and mouse are also supplied so the machine is ready to use immediately.

32 GB DDR5 and 2 TB NVMe headroom

The 32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM configuration handles heavy browser tabs, office suites and light creative workloads without paging. Integrated Radeon 780M graphics drive two external displays via HDMI and DisplayPort for productivity setups. The 260 W power supply and small-form-factor case limit the addition of discrete graphics cards or high-wattage components, so the platform is not suited for gaming or workstation-class rendering.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM need to be replaced later?

The 32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM is already the maximum capacity for this platform, so no memory upgrade is required.

What limits the Ryzen 7 250 first when all 8 cores run at 5.1 GHz for hours?

The 260 W power supply caps total system draw before the processor hits its thermal ceiling.

How loud and hot does the 260 W PSU get during an all-day workload?

The 260 W supply runs quietly at typical office loads; sustained heavy compute raises fan speed and chassis warmth but stays within normal SFF limits.
