Refurbished ThinkCentre M720S-SFF business desktop

This refurbished Lenovo ThinkCentre M720S-SFF is a slim-form-factor business desktop powered by an Intel Core i7-8700 3.20 GHz six-core processor with 12 MB L3 cache. It comes with 16 GB DDR4 memory, a 512 GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro 64-bit pre-installed. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output.

Suits office workloads.

The compact 3.60-inch-wide chassis fits tight desk spaces and supports typical productivity applications, multi-monitor setups and legacy peripherals. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card, additional internal drive bays or a full-height expansion slot should look at a larger form factor.

512 GB SSD capacity and SFF chassis

The single 512 GB solid-state drive provides the primary storage pool for the operating system and business data. Because the small-form-factor case offers no room for a second 3.5-inch drive, storage expansion relies on external USB devices or network shares.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR4 work reliably with a ten-year-old monitor that only has VGA?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 outputs through DisplayPort and HDMI on this model; a VGA monitor requires an active DisplayPort-to-VGA or HDMI-to-VGA adapter, which is not included.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-8700 and 16 GB DDR4 are running at their rated speeds after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance tab; the CPU should show 6 cores at up to 3.20 GHz base clock and the memory should report 16 GB DDR4.

Does the box contain a keyboard, mouse or Wi-Fi antenna, or must I buy them separately?

The unit ships as a desktop only; keyboard, mouse, Wi-Fi antenna and any DisplayPort or HDMI cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
