Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers needing a light 14-inch business ultrabook with a full HD screen, dual-core Skylake performance and Windows 10 Pro will find it fits. Users who require a dedicated graphics card, more than 8GB of RAM, a larger SSD or a newer operating system should consider other options.

14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 LCD display

The 14.0-inch panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution on an LCD matrix driven by integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. This screen size and resolution define the workspace for mobile productivity and determine whether the form factor matches your carrying preferences.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the ThinkPad T460S get when the i5-6300U runs at full load all day?

The dual-core Skylake processor has a low thermal design, and the ultrabook chassis is only 17 mm thick, so fan noise stays modest and surface temperatures remain comfortable during extended workloads.

What extra items do I need to start using the T460S right away?

The box contains the laptop and its AC power adapter; add any USB peripherals, external display cables or a docking station you prefer.

Will the Intel HD Graphics 520 drive my older 1920 x 1080 monitor without issues?

Yes, the integrated GPU supports 1920 x 1080 output over the available video ports, so a legacy Full HD display will work at native resolution.
