Legion 5 Gaming 006 with RTX 5060

This Lenovo gaming laptop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU and 32 GB of DDR5 memory. A 2 TB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for large game libraries. The 15.3-inch WQXGA OLED panel runs at 165 Hz with 1000 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

Sustained load behaviour

The RTX 5060 operates at a 115 W TGP, allowing the GPU to maintain high clocks during extended sessions. Ryzen AI acceleration handles background inference tasks without starving the graphics pipeline. Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) keeps latency low for online play. The OLED display supports G-SYNC and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 for consistent contrast under load.

Practical interface limits

Two USB-C ports run at USB4 40 Gbps and deliver up to 100 W Power Delivery alongside DisplayPort 1.4 output. HDMI 2.1 drives external panels up to 8K at 60 Hz. Two USB-A ports operate at 5 Gbps. Wired networking uses a single RJ-45 jack. Audio connects through a 3.5 mm combo jack.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the RTX 5060 get when it runs at its 115W TGP for long sessions?

The RTX 5060 operates at a 115W TGP; Legion Coldfront cooling manages heat, but sustained loads will raise fan speed and surface temperature.

Which ports and cables do I need to drive an external monitor at the full 2560x1600 165Hz signal?

Use the HDMI 2.1 port or a USB-C USB4 40Gbps port with DisplayPort 1.4 alt-mode and a certified cable.

Will my older USB-A 5Gbps peripherals work without adapters on this laptop?

Yes, three USB-A 5Gbps ports are built in, so legacy mice, keyboards and drives connect directly.
