Built for 144 Hz gaming

The Lenovo LOQ 15 pairs a 15.6 inch FHD panel at 144 Hz with an Intel Core i5-13450HX 10-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8 GB GPU. 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD give fast load times and headroom for multitasking. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence ship ready to use.

Thermals and acoustics in daily use

The chassis measures 14.17 by 10.19 by 0.94 inches and weighs 5.65 pounds, providing space for airflow around the 45 W class processor and discrete graphics. Fan noise stays moderate during typical gaming sessions at 1080p. Power draw scales with the 1.8 GHz base clock and 4.6 GHz turbo, so battery life varies by workload.

Connectivity and everyday practicality

A single USB-C 10 Gbps port, three USB-A ports, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet and a 3.5 mm combo jack cover monitors, wired networking and peripherals without dongles. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth handle wireless links. The grey keyboard includes a numeric keypad and backlighting for low-light typing. A 720p webcam sits above the non-touch display.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the RAM on the LOQ 15 and which slot do people forget?

The laptop ships with 64 GB DDR5 already installed in both SODIMM slots, so there is no free slot for an upgrade; the step people miss is confirming the current configuration before buying extra modules.

What storage maintenance will the 4 TB PCIe SSD need over time?

The 4 TB PCIe SSD has no moving parts, so no mechanical maintenance is required; keep at least 10 % free space and run Windows TRIM periodically to sustain write performance.

Which thermal limit appears first during long gaming sessions on the i5-13450HX?

The 10-core i5-13450HX hits its 4.6 GHz turbo ceiling first; once the 20 MB L3 cache and 45 W base power budget are saturated, clocks drop to protect the 15.6-inch chassis.
