Legion 5a 15 WQXGA 165Hz

The Lenovo Legion 5a 15 is a 15.3-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 250 eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Home and a 165Hz WQXGA panel for smooth motion in competitive titles.

USB4 40Gbps dual Type-C and HDMI 2.1

Two USB-C ports support USB4 at 40Gbps with USB PD 65-100W and DisplayPort 1.4, while HDMI 2.1 drives external displays up to 8K60. Three USB-A ports at 5Gbps, one always-on, plus RJ-45 Ethernet and a 3.5mm combo jack complete the wired connectivity.

16GB DDR5 4800 and 2TB PCIe SSD

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 4800 memory and a two-terabyte PCIe SSD give ample space for modern game installs and multitasking. Heavy workloads that exceed 16GB will rely on the fast SSD for paging, and the 8GB GDDR7 frame buffer caps texture detail at the highest 1440p settings.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 GB DDR5 memory need to be upgraded later?

The 16 GB DDR5 4800 memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded; only the 2 TB PCIe SSD can be replaced.

What limits the Ryzen 7 250 under sustained load?

The 8-core Ryzen 7 250 hits its 5.1 GHz boost ceiling and the shared cooling capacity before any other component.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when running all day?

The 15.3 inch chassis and dual-fan design keep the RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 and CPU within thermal limits; fan noise rises under load but stays typical for a 4.12-pound gaming laptop.
