Compact SFF Desktop with Dedicated Graphics

This Lenovo M700 small-form-factor PC ships as a new system with an Intel Core i5-6500 processor, 16 GB of DDR3 memory, a 128 GB M.2 solid-state drive and a 500 GB hard drive. An Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 card with 2 GB of DDR5 video memory provides HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and a wired keyboard, mouse plus USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter are included.

Suits Office Work and Light Gaming

The configuration handles general productivity, web browsing, media playback and e-sports titles such as Minecraft, Fortnite or Rocket League at modest settings. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of memory, faster storage throughput or a higher-tier graphics card for modern AAA games should look at a different system. The chassis has no optical drive and the power supply limits upgrade options for larger GPUs.

GT 1030 2 GB DDR5 Graphics Card

The installed Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 with 2 GB of DDR5 memory is the component that determines whether this PC meets your visual-performance needs. It supports HDMI and DisplayPort monitors and runs the listed e-sports titles, but it does not deliver the frame rates or feature set required for demanding 3D workloads or high-refresh-rate competitive play.

Questions about this item

Will the 128GB M.2 drive and 500GB HDD fit the SFF drive bays?

The M.2 slot accepts the 128GB solid-state drive and the chassis has a bay for the 500GB hard drive.

How do I install the Nvidia GT 1030 2GB card, and what step is often missed?

Insert the GT 1030 into the PCIe slot, secure the bracket screw, then connect the monitor to the card's HDMI or DisplayPort — not the motherboard video ports.

What memory upgrade does this DDR3 system support later?

The board uses DDR3 modules; you can add or replace sticks up to the board's maximum capacity using the same DDR3 type.
