Refurbished ThinkPad E14 Gen 3

This Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 is a refurbished 14.0-inch business laptop graded Cosmetic Condition Grade A (Excellent). It runs Windows 11 Pro on an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U hexa-core processor with a base clock of 2.10 GHz and a boost up to 4 GHz. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD.

Suited for mobile office work.

The integrated AMD Radeon graphics and 16 GB RAM handle typical productivity, video calls and multitasking well. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering, CAD or gaming should look at a different configuration. The 256 GB drive may also feel restrictive for users storing large media libraries locally.

16 GB DDR4 memory is the capacity limit

The laptop ships with 16 GB of DDR4 SDRAM installed. This amount cannot be increased beyond the factory configuration, so the decision rests on whether 16 GB meets your workload requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 256 GB SSD in the ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 and what step is often missed?

The 256 GB SSD mounts in the internal M.2 slot; the step often missed is enabling the drive in BIOS before Windows 11 Pro setup begins.

What maintenance will the 16 GB DDR4 memory and AMD Radeon graphics need later?

The 16 GB DDR4 is soldered and not upgradeable; keep the AMD Radeon graphics driver current through Windows Update for stability.

What limit appears first during sustained loads on the Ryzen 5 5500U?

The Ryzen 5 5500U hits its thermal ceiling first, causing clock speeds to drop from the 4 GHz boost toward the 2.10 GHz base under long workloads.
