Refurbished 14-inch business laptop

This refurbished Lenovo T450 runs Windows 10 on an Intel Core i5-5300U at 2.3 GHz with 8 GB of memory and a 1000 GB SSD. The 14.0 inch non-touch display has a 1366 x 768 Wide XGA resolution. Integrated graphics and internal speakers handle everyday office tasks. No webcam or optical drive is fitted.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives with Windows 10 pre-installed along with the battery and AC adaptor so setup is minimal. Missing webcam and optical drive mean video calls and disc-based installs need external peripherals. Refurbished units may show cosmetic wear on the gray chassis. Integrated graphics limit heavier visual workloads.

Practical limits of integrated graphics and storage

Integrated graphics share system memory and suit 2D business apps rather than 3D rendering or modern gaming. The 1366 x 768 panel caps external display sharpness when mirroring. A single 1000 GB SSD holds the OS and data but cannot be supplemented by a second internal drive. Six USB ports provide peripheral connectivity.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the i5-5300U is running at its 2.3 GHz base speed after I set up the laptop?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and watch the reported speed settle at 2.3 GHz while the system is idle.

The listing mentions a battery and AC adaptor — is there anything else I must buy to start working?

No. The package includes the laptop, battery and AC adaptor, so you can power on and use Windows 10 immediately.

Should I choose the 1000 GB SSD version or is a smaller drive offered for this T450?

Only the 1000 GB SSD configuration is listed for this model, so that is the version you will receive.
