The Lenovo SW725 is a five-port Fast Ethernet switch built for industrial environments. It delivers Power over Ethernet Plus on every port so cameras, sensors or access points can run without local power supplies. The unit operates reliably from minus forty to plus one hundred fifty-eight degrees Fahrenheit. It suits automation, transport or outdoor deployments where temperature extremes are normal.

Replaces basic unmanaged switches

This model upgrades a standard office switch when the installation site exceeds commercial temperature limits or when PoE+ endpoints must be powered over long cable runs. The jump is worth it if existing hardware fails in cold storage, vehicle cabinets or exposed pole mounts. It is not for buyers who need gigabit throughput, managed features such as VLANs or redundant power inputs.

Five ports with PoE+ headroom

The switch comfortably handles five PoE+ devices drawing up to the standard per-port limit while maintaining link stability across the full temperature range. It runs out when the application demands gigabit speeds, fibre uplinks or advanced traffic shaping. It also cannot support more than five endpoints without adding another switch.
