Ready-to-work laptop for professionals

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 9 ships with Windows 11 Pro, a 10-core Intel Core 7 240H processor, 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD. It targets professionals who need a complete, business-grade machine without adding components after purchase. The 16-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen covers 100% sRGB at 400 nits and runs at 120 Hz for smooth scrolling and pen input.

No internal assembly required

Because the system arrives fully configured, there is no memory or storage installation to perform. The only steps are the standard Windows 11 Pro out-of-box experience and driver updates. Buyers who want to open the chassis for future upgrades should note that the 16 GB DDR5 5600 kit occupies the available slots and the 1 TB NVMe M.2 drive fills the primary storage bay.

1 TB NVMe storage and 16 GB DDR5 headroom

The 1 TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD holds the operating system, applications and a large working set of project files with room to spare. The 16 GB DDR5 5600 memory handles typical multitasking, video conferencing and light content creation. Workloads that demand more than 16 GB of RAM or multiple terabytes of fast local storage will exceed the factory configuration.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 120 Hz touchscreen is running at its full refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings, choose System then Display, select Advanced display and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 120 Hz for the built-in 16.0" WUXGA panel.

What ports and accessories are included in the box versus what I must purchase separately?

The laptop ships with a 65 W USB-C power adapter and cable; the chassis already provides two USB-A 5 Gbps, two USB-C (one Thunderbolt 4 at 40 Gbps, one USB 10 Gbps with DP 2.1), HDMI 2.1, RJ45, SD reader and combo jack — no extra dongles are required for those interfaces.

Which memory and storage configuration should I choose for this model?

This unit is fixed at 16 GB DDR5 5600 MHz soldered memory and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4×4 NVMe M.2 SSD; there are no alternative capacity options to select.
