Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Tiny Desktop

This Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q is a tiny desktop PC built for professional environments. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and includes Intel vPro technology for hardware-based manageability and security. The compact black chassis fits constrained workspaces without a monitor included. It targets commercial buyers who need reliable, managed endpoints.

Suited for managed fleets

Organisations deploying standardised images across many seats will benefit from vPro remote management and the small footprint. Buyers who want more storage or additional expansion slots should look at larger form factors. The integrated graphics limit users needing discrete GPU acceleration for rendering or compute workloads. Home users without IT management needs may find simpler alternatives.

32 GB DDR5 and 512 GB SSD capacity

The 32 GB of DDR5 memory provides headroom for heavy multitasking and large dataset handling in office applications. The 512 GB solid-state drive holds the operating system, core applications and active project files comfortably. Users working with extensive local media libraries or virtual machines will reach the storage limit quickly. Memory is not user-expandable beyond the factory configuration.

Questions about this item

What type of memory do I need to add to the 32 GB already installed in this M70q?

The system uses DDR5 memory, so any additional modules must be DDR5 to be compatible with the installed 32 GB.

Will the Intel Q870 chipset support the older PCIe 3.0 expansion cards I currently use?

The Intel Q870 chipset maintains backward compatibility with PCIe 3.0 cards, allowing your existing expansion cards to function in the available slots.

How can I verify the vPro Technology is active after setting up Windows 11 Pro?

Open the Intel vPro Platform webpage in a browser or check Device Manager for the Intel Active Management Technology entries to confirm the feature is enabled.
