Compact office desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q G2 is a mini PC built for casual computing and office tasks. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of memory. The Intel Core i5 11400T processor runs at a base speed of 1.30 GHz with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730. This configuration suits general productivity without a discrete graphics card.

Thermals and power

The tiny chassis uses integrated graphics and a 35 W class processor to keep heat output low in daily use. Fan noise stays subdued during typical document, web and video workloads. Power draw remains modest compared with full-size towers. No liquid cooling or high-airflow case is required for normal operation.

Build integration

HDMI and VGA outputs drive one or two external displays without adapters. USB 3.1, USB 3.2 and USB-C ports handle peripherals and fast storage on the desk. The small footprint frees desk space and fits behind a monitor or in a VESA mount. Buyers needing internal drive bays or a PCIe expansion slot should look at larger form factors.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the ThinkCentre M70q G2 Tiny to the back of a display?

The chassis uses Lenovo's Tiny VESA bracket; attach the bracket to the display's VESA holes, then slide the unit in until the latch clicks.

Which component will need replacement first in the i5-11400T system?

The CMOS battery on the motherboard typically lasts several years and is the only user-replaceable part that wears out under normal office use.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel UHD Graphics 730 runs a sustained workload?

The 35 W TDP of the i5-11400T caps total package power, so the tiny cooler hits its thermal ceiling before the GPU can throttle independently.
