Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 2 11MY001RUS is a Tiny form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-11400T six-core processor running at 1.30 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and Intel UHD Graphics 730. The compact black chassis suits office deployments where desk space is limited and a separate monitor is preferred.

Memory and storage configuration

The system includes 8 GB of DDR4 SDRAM and a 128 GB M.2 PCI Express NVMe SSD. This capacity handles everyday productivity applications and the operating system. Buyers who need larger datasets, multiple virtual machines or extensive local media libraries will require additional storage or memory upgrades beyond the factory configuration.

Platform interface limits

The desktop uses an Intel B560 chipset and integrates Intel UHD Graphics 730 for display output. Graphics performance is suited to general business workloads and multi-monitor desktop use. Workloads that demand discrete GPU acceleration, hardware-encode pipelines or higher 3D throughput fall outside the capabilities of this integrated graphics solution.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR4 memory be expanded later?

The system ships with 8 GB DDR4; the M70q Gen 2 board supports additional DDR4 modules up to the chipset limit.

What limits sustained performance on the Core i5-11400T in this tiny chassis?

The 35 W TDP processor and compact thermal solution will throttle clock speeds before the 128 GB NVMe SSD or Intel UHD Graphics 730 become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the M70q Gen 2 get during all-day operation?

The 7.35 kg tiny desktop uses a low-profile fan that stays quiet at idle; under continuous load the fan ramps up and the case surface warms noticeably.
