Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 6 Tiny desktop

This Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 6 is a Tiny desktop PC built for student and home-office work. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a wired keyboard and mouse, plus a vertical stand. The Intel Core Ultra 5 235T processor and 16 GB of DDR5 memory handle everyday productivity tasks. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E provide network connectivity.

Sustained load behaviour with 90 W adapter

The system draws power from a 90 W external adapter, which sets the ceiling for continuous performance. Under prolonged workloads the CPU can reach a 5 GHz turbo frequency, but the small chassis and fixed power budget limit how long peak speeds are maintained. Thermal throttling will appear sooner than in larger desktops, so extended heavy compiles or renders will run at lower clocks.

Installation ease and typical issues

The Tiny form factor arrives assembled; only the vertical stand and cables need attaching. Seven USB ports, including a front USB-C 10 Gbps port, and an HDMI output make peripheral connection straightforward. The 256 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR5 are not user-accessible without disassembly, so buyers who want more storage or memory must order a different configuration.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Tiny chassis get when the Core Ultra 5 235T runs at 4.4 GHz all day?

The 90 W power adapter matches the processor's 35 W base power, so sustained loads stay within the Tiny thermal design without needing extra cooling.

Does the box include a display, or must I already own a monitor with HDMI?

No monitor is included; the system provides one rear HDMI port, so you need a display with an HDMI input.

Can I keep using my older USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drives and Gigabit Ethernet cable with this desktop?

Yes — two rear USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet jack are present, so existing drives and cables work directly.
