Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Tiny Gen 2

This ultra-compact desktop targets office workers and IT deployments that need a small footprint without sacrificing manageability. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel Core i5-11400T processor running at 1.3GHz for everyday productivity tasks. The 16GB DDR4 memory and 512GB SSD provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times. No monitor is included in the package.

Upgrade from older Tiny or SFF systems

The M70q Gen 2 replaces previous-generation Tiny desktops with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 and faster DDR4 memory. The jump is worth it when your current fleet struggles with modern web apps or multi-monitor workloads. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730 handles dual-display output without a discrete card. Buyers who need more storage or a dedicated GPU for rendering should look elsewhere.

Windows 10 Pro and integrated graphics limits

Windows 10 Pro supports domain join, BitLocker and remote management for business environments. The Intel UHD Graphics 730 drives typical office displays but lacks the 3D performance for CAD or video editing. The 512GB SSD capacity is fixed unless you open the chassis for an upgrade. The 90-day supplier warranty covers hardware defects only.

Questions about this item

What mounting holes or brackets does the M70q Tiny Gen 2 chassis use?

The Tiny chassis is designed to fit Lenovo Tiny-specific mounts such as the Tiny-in-One bracket, VESA plate or under-desk clamp; it does not use standard ATX screw patterns.

What is the correct order to seat the DDR4 SO-DIMMs during a memory upgrade?

Power off, unplug, remove the bottom cover, insert each module at a 30-degree angle until the gold contacts disappear, then press down firmly until both side clips click.

Which user-replaceable components will need attention after several years of operation?

The CMOS coin cell on the motherboard and the internal system fan are the only parts designed for later replacement; the soldered CPU and integrated graphics are not serviceable.
