ThinkCentre M70q Tiny Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q is a compact Tiny form-factor desktop designed for enterprise and home-office environments. It ships with an Intel Core i5-11400T six-core processor reaching up to 3.70 GHz, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed, ready for managed deployment. No monitor is included in the box.

Build Integration

The Tiny chassis occupies minimal desk space and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 730, leaving PCIe slots free for specialised add-in cards. The 256 GB solid-state drive handles the operating system and core applications, while the 8 GB DDR4 configuration supports everyday multitasking. External displays connect through the available video outputs on the rear I/O panel.

Target Audience

This system suits organisations and individuals needing a managed, secure PC for standard productivity, web-based workflows and legacy application compatibility. Buyers who want more storage capacity or higher memory bandwidth for intensive content creation should look at something else. Users requiring discrete graphics performance for 3D rendering or gaming will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

What limits the i5-11400T processor first during sustained heavy workloads?

The 6-core i5-11400T reaches its 3.70 GHz turbo ceiling, then thermal constraints in the Tiny chassis throttle clocks to protect the silicon.

How much fan noise and heat appear when the M70q runs all day?

The compact 3.0 kg chassis uses a small internal fan that becomes audible under load; surface temperatures rise noticeably during continuous database or multitasking sessions.

Which display cable and monitor port must I already have to use the integrated UHD Graphics 730?

You need a monitor with HDMI or DisplayPort input and the matching cable; the Tiny unit has no VGA output and no screen is included.
