ThinkCentre M70t Gen 5 tower desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M70t Gen 5 is a tower-format desktop computer built around an Intel Core i7-14700 processor with Intel vPro Enterprise features. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 UDIMM memory at 5600 MHz and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0x4 NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and a DVD+/-RW optical drive is included.

Suits managed fleets needing vPro

This system targets IT-managed environments that require Intel vPro Enterprise for remote management and hardware-level security. The single 1 TB NVMe drive leaves internal bays free for additional storage, while the 260 W 90% efficient power supply limits discrete graphics upgrades. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for 3D workloads or a higher-wattage PSU should consider other configurations.

Fits standard tower builds

The tower chassis provides room for extra drives and full-height add-in cards within the 260 W power budget. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 drives displays via the motherboard video outputs. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3 handle networking without extra adapters. A USB traditional keyboard is included; a monitor must be sourced separately.

Questions about this item

Does the 260 W power supply provide enough headroom for a discrete graphics card upgrade?

The 260 W unit with 90% efficiency leaves limited overhead; adding a discrete GPU would likely exceed its capacity without a PSU replacement.

Will the Intel UHD Graphics 770 drive my existing DisplayPort 1.4 monitor at 4K 60 Hz?

Yes, the integrated UHD Graphics 770 supports DisplayPort 1.4 and can drive a 4K display at 60 Hz using the tower's rear video outputs.

How can I confirm the 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory is running at its rated speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, click Memory and verify the Speed field reads 5600 MHz.
