Tiny form factor for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q is a compact desktop built around an AMD PRO A10-9700E processor. Its small chassis fits tight workspaces or VESA mounts while delivering Windows 10 Pro out of the box. The system targets general business tasks such as document editing, web browsing and legacy line-of-business applications. Buyers who need high-end graphics, heavy multithreaded rendering or large local datasets should look elsewhere.

500 GB hard drive and 8 GB memory

A 500 GB mechanical drive stores the operating system and everyday files with room for growth. Eight gigabytes of RAM handles typical office workloads and a handful of browser tabs without swapping. Performance drops when running virtual machines, large databases or modern creative suites that demand more memory and faster storage throughput. The drive speed and capacity ceiling limit sustained write-heavy workflows.

DisplayPort video output only

Video connects through a single DisplayPort connector, so a compatible monitor or active adapter is required. The integrated AMD graphics drive one external display at common business resolutions. Wireless networking with a built-in antenna provides cable-free LAN access for standard office traffic. Systems needing multiple independent screens, dedicated GPU acceleration or legacy VGA and DVI ports cannot be supported by this unit.

Questions about this item

Will the DisplayPort output on the ThinkCentre M715q drive my existing VGA monitor with an adapter?

The system provides a DisplayPort video connection; a DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter will allow the M715q to drive a legacy VGA display.

How can I confirm the AMD PRO A10-9700E is running at full performance after first boot?

Open Task Manager and check that all ten cores show activity under load; the CPU should reach its rated clocks without throttling.

Does the 500 GB hard drive come pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro, or must I supply my own licence and media?

Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and activated on the 500 GB HDD, so no separate licence or installation media is required.
