Compact All-in-One for Office Tasks

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q integrates a 22-inch Full HD IPS display with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a 1 TB 3.5-inch hard drive and Windows 10 Pro. The tiny chassis includes a DVD-ROM drive and a USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle for wireless connectivity.

65 W Processor in a Micro Chassis

The 65 W CPU is cooled inside the micro form factor case without liquid cooling or oversized fans. Under typical office workloads the system remains quiet and power draw stays modest. The all-in-one design removes the need for a separate tower and monitor power brick, simplifying cable management on a desk.

Included Peripherals Ready to Use

A USB keyboard and USB mouse are bundled so the system works straight out of the box. The optical drive adds legacy media support for installations or archives. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and activated, providing business features such as BitLocker and remote desktop without extra setup.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional DDR4 memory in the ThinkCentre M720q Tiny, and which slot orientation do people often get wrong?

Open the chassis, align the 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM notch with the key in the slot, press firmly until the side clips click; the notch is off-centre so the module only fits one way — forcing it backwards is the common mistake.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3.5" 1 TB hard drive need later?

Mechanical drives wear over time; plan to replace the 3.5" 1 TB HDD with a fresh drive or SSD when SMART warnings appear or performance drops, and keep backups current.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-8500 runs sustained workloads in this Tiny chassis?

The 65 W processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the compact cooler can dissipate heat during prolonged heavy loads.
