Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny is a micro-form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2.5-inch 1 TB solid-state drive, plus Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. The small chassis targets office environments that need a full Windows PC with a minimal footprint.

Build integration

The unit includes a USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle for wireless connectivity and a DVD-ROM drive for legacy media. A bundled USB keyboard and mouse arrive in the box so the system is ready to deploy without extra peripherals. Its micro case fits on a desk, behind a monitor or on a VESA mount, freeing bench space for documents or additional hardware.

Included accessories

The supplied keyboard and mouse remove the need to source input devices separately, while the USB wireless dongle adds 5 GHz-capable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without occupying an internal slot. Windows 10 Pro is installed and activated, eliminating the time and licencing step of a clean OS deployment.

Questions about this item

Does the 65 W Intel Core i5-8500 throttle under long workloads in this tiny chassis?

The 65 W hexa-core processor is rated to 4.1 GHz boost; sustained clocks depend on the M720q’s thermal solution and BIOS fan curves.

How loud and hot does the system get when it runs all day?

The micro form-factor uses a small internal fan; expect audible airflow under load and warm exhaust, but the 65 W CPU keeps total heat modest.

What display cable do I need since no monitor is included?

The unit provides DisplayPort and HDMI outputs; supply your own monitor and matching cable to get video.
