Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop delivers an 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor reaching 4.10 GHz in a micro form factor chassis. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256 GB M.2 solid-state drive paired with a 1 TB hard drive, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A USB keyboard and mouse are included for immediate deployment.

Verify Ports and Expansion

Check that your existing monitors use interfaces supported by the unit’s video outputs before ordering. Confirm the single DDR4 DIMM slot layout matches any planned memory upgrade path and that the M.2 plus 2.5-inch drive configuration satisfies your storage topology. The bundled USB Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongle occupies one port, so account for that in your peripheral plan.

Sustained Office Workloads

The 65-watt processor maintains its 3.0 GHz base frequency during extended business tasks without thermal throttling in the tiny enclosure. Intel UHD Graphics handles multi-monitor productivity and video playback steadily over long sessions. Dual-drive storage keeps the operating system responsive on the M.2 SSD while the 1 TB hard drive absorbs continuous write streams such as backups or logs.

Questions about this item

Does the box contain a monitor or do I need to buy one separately?

No monitor is included; the system ships with a USB keyboard and mouse only.

Should I choose the 256 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB hard drive or a larger single drive?

The dual-drive layout puts the OS on the 256 GB M.2 SSD and stores data on the 1 TB hard drive.

Will the 3.0 GHz base clock and 4.1 GHz boost handle typical office multitasking?

The six-core i5-8500 runs at 3.0 GHz base and up to 4.1 GHz boost, which is sufficient for standard business workloads.
