Tiny form factor business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a Tiny desktop built for business environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated, ready for immediate deployment. A 35 W Intel Core i5-8500T processor with six cores and 9 MB L3 cache provides the compute foundation. The 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD and 32 GB DDR4 memory are already fitted.

Included AC adapter and port selection

An OEM AC adapter matched to the unit is included so the system can be powered straight away. Connectivity covers one USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port, three USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports. Video output uses one DisplayPort and one HDMI connector. Gigabit Ethernet is onboard; no wireless card, keyboard, mouse or monitor are supplied.

Suits space-constrained offices needing quick setup

This configuration suits offices that need a compact, ready-to-run Windows 11 Pro machine with generous memory and fast NVMe storage. Buyers who require built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics limit the system to general productivity and light media tasks. Anyone needing discrete graphics performance or internal expansion slots will need a different form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD need replacing if it wears out?

The 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD is a removable module; it can be swapped for another NVMe drive if capacity or health becomes an issue.

What limits performance first when the i5-8500T runs at 35 W for long periods?

The 35 W processor power limit and the tiny chassis air-cooling system will throttle clocks before the 32 GB DDR4 memory or 1 TB NVMe SSD become bottlenecks.

How much fan noise and heat should I expect from the tiny case during an all-day workload?

The 35 W CPU and compact air-cooling design mean audible fan ramp-up and noticeable case warmth under sustained load, but no liquid-cooling or oversized heatsinks are present to silence it.
