Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a Tiny form-factor PC built for office environments where desk space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and a hexa-core Intel Core i5-8500T processor running at a 2.10 GHz base frequency with turbo up to 3.50 GHz. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives everyday business applications and media playback. The system targets professionals who need a small, quiet unit for standard productivity workloads.

Included Peripherals && Security

A wireless keyboard and mouse are bundled so the system is ready to use straight away. The 32GB DDR4 memory complement and 1TB NVMe SSD are already installed, removing the need for immediate upgrades. TPM 2.0 hardware encryption protects stored data and supports secure authentication for enterprise policies. These factory-fitted components change the day-to-day experience by delivering fast boot times and responsive multitasking without extra configuration.

Build Quality && Connectivity

The black chassis uses air cooling in a compact footprint designed for VESA mounting behind a monitor or placement on a stand. Video output is provided via HDMI for straightforward connection to modern displays. Wired networking relies on Fast Ethernet rather than gigabit speeds, which may limit large file transfers. Buyers needing additional legacy ports, discrete graphics expansion, or a second NVMe slot should verify internal headers before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the 32GB DDR4 memory need to be upgraded for future workloads?

The 32GB DDR4 configuration is fixed by the tiny form factor, so any increase would require replacing the existing modules rather than adding more.

Does the Intel UHD Graphics 630 throttle first during sustained heavy loads?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 shares the CPU thermal budget, so graphics-intensive tasks will hit thermal limits before the six-core processor reaches its maximum turbo frequency.

How loud does the air cooling become when the i5-8500T runs at 3.50 GHz all day?

The compact air-cooling system spins up noticeably when all six cores hold 3.50 GHz, producing an audible but not intrusive fan noise in a typical office.
