ThinkCentre M720q Tiny desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q is a Tiny-form-factor desktop built for business environments where space is limited. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and activated, ready for immediate deployment. The 35 W Intel Core i5-9500T six-core processor runs at 2.2 GHz with 9 MB L3 cache. 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe M.2 SSD provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times.

Connectivity and display outputs

Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives one DisplayPort and one HDMI port for dual-monitor setups. Wired networking uses Gigabit Ethernet, while an internal Wi-Fi module adds wireless flexibility. Five USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports handle peripherals and external storage. A single USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port is also present. Audio connects through a 3.5 mm microphone jack and a 3.5 mm combo jack. No optical drive is included.

Suited for office and kiosk roles

This configuration suits office workers, call-centre stations and digital-signage deployments that need a silent, compact PC with a pre-loaded OS. Buyers who require discrete graphics for CAD or video editing should look elsewhere. The 256 GB SSD may be tight for users with large local data sets. Keyboard, mouse and monitor are not included, so budget for those separately. Grade B condition means minor cosmetic wear is expected.

Questions about this item

Will the 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD need replacing as my storage needs grow?

The M.2 SSD can be swapped for a larger NVMe drive when you need more space; the board accepts standard 2280 modules.

What limits sustained performance first on the 35W 6-core i5-9500T?

The 35W power envelope caps turbo duration, so the CPU throttles before the air cooler reaches its limit.

How loud and hot does the Tiny chassis get when running all day?

The compact air cooler keeps the 35W processor quiet under typical loads; fan noise rises only during long multi-core bursts.
