Compact all-in-one desktop for office work

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny combines a 22-inch FHD IPS display with an 8th generation Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor reaching 4.60 GHz. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive arrangement of 128 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB SSD provide responsive boot and storage. Windows 10 Pro, a DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard, mouse and a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle complete the ready-to-use package.

Memory and storage headroom

Eight gigabytes of DDR4 handles typical business multitasking and web-based workloads; the platform supports up to 32 GB for heavier datasets. The 128 GB M.2 drive holds the operating system and core applications while the 1 TB SSD offers ample space for documents and media. Users running large local databases or virtual machines will reach the memory ceiling before the storage limit.

Processor core count and turbo frequency

The six-core, twelve-thread i7-8700 with a 4.60 GHz maximum turbo clock determines whether this unit suits your workload. Buyers needing more cores, higher sustained frequencies or discrete graphics for rendering or compute-intensive tasks should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 22" FHD IPS monitor connect to my older laptop that only has VGA and DVI ports?

The all-in-one uses a single integrated display; there are no separate video-input ports to attach an external computer.

How do I confirm the Intel Core i7-8700 is reaching its 4.60 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency climb toward 4.60 GHz while running a heavy single-thread load.

Does the box include the USB Wi-Fi dongle, or must I buy a separate wireless adapter?

A USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle is included, along with a USB keyboard and USB mouse; no extra wireless adapter is needed.
