Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720S is a small form factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5 8th Gen 2.80 GHz processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and fits tight workspaces in offices, classrooms or home setups. Integrated graphics use shared system memory for everyday display output.

Upgrade From Older SFF Units

This system replaces aging desktops limited to 4 GB memory, mechanical hard drives or Windows 10. The jump is worth it when you need faster boot times, snappier multitasking and native Windows 11 support without a clean install. Two memory slots allow expansion to 16 GB DDR4 for heavier workloads.

Sustained Office Workloads

Under continuous use the compact chassis relies on its internal airflow design to maintain stable clocks during document editing, web browsing and video conferencing. Integrated graphics share the 8 GB DDR4 pool, so extended sessions with multiple browser tabs or large spreadsheets remain responsive within the 16 GB ceiling. Fan noise stays low in typical business environments.

Questions about this item

What are the case dimensions and form factor for the M720S?

The M720S uses a Small Form Factor chassis measuring 6.000 height, 14.000 width and 18.000 length.

How is Windows 11 Pro installed, and what step is often missed?

A fresh Windows 11 Pro 64Bit image is pre-installed; the step people miss is running the initial out-of-box setup and Windows Update before use.

What memory upgrades are possible later?

The board has two DDR4 slots supporting a maximum of 16 GB total, so you can add or replace modules up to that limit.
