Ready-to-use tower for everyday gaming

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720t arrives with Windows 11 Pro installed and includes an RGB keyboard, mouse and headset so you can start playing or working straight away. Its Intel Core i5-8500 runs at 3.00 GHz with a 4.10 GHz turbo across six cores, backed by 16GB of DDR4 memory. A 256GB SSD handles boot and application loading while the AMD Radeon RX 550 4GB GDDR5 card drives the display outputs.

Capacity and headroom

The 16GB DDR4 allocation gives comfortable headroom for mainstream titles, streaming and general multitasking without constant paging. The 256GB SSD is fast enough for the operating system and a handful of active games, yet it will fill quickly if you install several large modern releases. The RX 550 4GB GDDR5 frame buffer suits 1080p gaming at modest detail settings; higher resolutions or texture-heavy workloads will exceed its video memory.

Interface limits

Front-panel connectivity provides five USB ports and two audio jacks for peripherals and headsets. A single RJ45 port handles wired networking, while the supplied Wi-Fi adapter adds wireless access. Video output relies on the graphics card’s native HDMI and DisplayPort connections. The tower chassis allows internal upgrades, although the proprietary motherboard layout and power-supply form factor restrict the range of compatible components.

Questions about this item

Will the i5-8500 and RX 550 run my existing DDR4 modules without a BIOS update?

The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4 already installed; the i5-8500 memory controller supports standard JEDEC DDR4 speeds, so any compatible DDR4 DIMM you add should be recognised on first boot.

How can I verify the Radeon RX 550 4 GB GDDR5 is active after Windows 11 Pro starts?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and confirm AMD Radeon RX 550 appears; then run Radeon Software to see the 4 GB GDDR5 reported under the Performance tab.

Which accessories are included so I know what extra cables or peripherals to order?

The box contains the M720t tower, an RGB keyboard, an RGB mouse and RGB headphones; a Wi-Fi adapter is pre-installed. Monitor cables, speakers or additional USB devices are not supplied.
