Tower desktop with 24-inch monitor

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720t is a tower-form desktop PC bundled with a 24-inch LED monitor, USB keyboard and mouse. An Intel Core i5-8500 six-core processor runs at 3.00 GHz base and 4.10 GHz turbo with 9 MB cache. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives the display. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a Wi-Fi adapter for wireless connectivity.

Simple cable connections, limited internal access

The package arrives assembled so setup only requires plugging in the monitor, peripherals and power. The tower chassis uses tool-less panels but internal space is tight for full-length expansion cards. The 256 GB SSD and 8 GB DDR4 memory occupy the primary slots, leaving little room for additional drives without removing existing parts.

Steady output for office workloads

Under sustained load the i5-8500 maintains its base frequency across all six cores without thermal throttling in the stock cooler. The 256 GB SSD keeps read and write speeds consistent during long file transfers. Integrated graphics handle extended video playback and multi-monitor desktop use but are not suited for continuous 3D rendering or compute tasks.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Intel Core i5-8500 is running at its 3.00GHz base clock after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency settle at 3.00GHz under light load; it should rise toward 4.10GHz when you launch heavier tasks.

Which items arrive in the box and what must I source myself?

The bundle ships with the M720t tower, a 24-inch LED monitor, USB keyboard, USB mouse and a Wi-Fi adapter — only a power cable for the monitor and any extra peripherals are left to you.

Should I pick the 8GB DDR4 / 256GB SSD configuration or look for a larger capacity?

The listed unit comes with 8GB DDR4 and a 256GB SSD; if you need more memory or storage you can add DDR4 modules and another drive later thanks to the tower's upgrade-friendly design.
