Compact Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M73 Tiny 10AY008AUS is a small-form-factor desktop built for office environments. It runs an Intel Core i5-4590T quad-core processor at 2.0 GHz with 4 GB of DDR3 1600 memory and a 180 GB SSD. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 drives display output. The 65 W power supply supports the low-power chassis. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is installed with Windows 8.1 Pro downgrade rights.

Memory And Wireless Checks

Verify the SoDIMM 204-pin memory slots: one of two is occupied, leaving a single slot open for expansion up to 16 GB total. The system includes 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0. Front connectivity provides two USB 3.0 ports, one of which is always-on for device charging. Gigabit Ethernet handles wired networking. Ensure your monitors match the available video outputs on the integrated graphics.

Upgrade From Older Office Units

This unit replaces ageing desktops that rely on hard drives and dual-core CPUs. The SSD and quad-core architecture deliver snappier application launches and smoother multitasking for typical business workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics, multiple additional drive bays, or higher memory bandwidth should consider larger form factors. The Tiny chassis limits internal expansion to the single memory slot and wireless card.

Questions about this item

Does the ThinkCentre M73 Tiny 10AY008AUS include a monitor, keyboard or mouse, or must they be purchased separately?

The system ships without a screen, keyboard or mouse; all three must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 4 GB DDR3 1600 configuration or plan to add a second SoDIMM to reach the 16 GB maximum?

One 4 GB module is installed in one of two 204-pin slots, leaving one slot free; adding a matching DDR3 1600 module can raise capacity to 8 GB, and two 8 GB modules reach the 16 GB ceiling.

What does the Intel Core i5-4590T 2.0 GHz processor with 6 MB L3 cache deliver in daily office workloads?

The quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU with 6 MB cache handles typical business applications, web browsing and multi-tasking smoothly within the 65 W power envelope.
