Tiny desktop for home office

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M90q Gen 6 fits into tight spaces with its Tiny form factor. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Intel Core Ultra 5 235 processor reaching 5 GHz turbo. The system targets students and home office users who need a compact, ready-to-run PC without a monitor included.

Build quality and daily connectivity

The black chassis uses an Intel Q870 chipset and 16 GB of DDR5 5600 memory soldered for stability. A 512 GB PCI Express 4.0 x4 NVMe drive provides fast storage. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth handle networking while the 135 W power adapter keeps the unit running.

Practical limits of the platform

Integrated Intel Graphics means the system suits productivity rather than heavy 3D workloads. The Tiny chassis restricts internal expansion so adding a discrete card or extra drives is not possible. Buyers who want more storage or graphics performance should consider a larger form factor.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the NVMe 4.0 x4 SSD interface cap at in practice?

The 512 GB PCI Express NVMe 4.0 x4 SSD runs at PCIe 4.0 speeds, delivering the full bandwidth of that generation for sequential reads and writes.

What physical space is required to mount the Tiny form factor desktop?

The Tiny chassis fits on a desk, behind a monitor with a VESA mount, or on a shelf; it needs only a small footprint and clearance for the 135 W power adapter and cables.

How is Windows 11 Pro installed on this system, and what step do people often miss?

Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed; the step users often skip is completing the out-of-box experience to activate the licence and apply the latest updates.
