Purpose-built tower desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M920t is a new tower desktop computer designed for student and home-office workloads. It ships with Windows 11 Professional pre-installed and an Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor. Eight gigabytes of system memory and a 500 GB SATA hard drive complete the base configuration. No monitor is included in the package.

Best fit and limits

This system suits users who need a ready-to-run Windows 11 machine for everyday productivity, web browsing and light multitasking. Buyers who want more storage capacity or faster solid-state storage should look elsewhere. The platform also lacks a dedicated graphics card, so it is not intended for gaming or GPU-accelerated creative work. An optical drive is not fitted.

Build integration

The tower chassis provides internal bays for additional SATA drives, letting you expand storage without external cables. The included Windows 11 Pro licence covers the operating system, freeing you from a separate software purchase. Standard rear I/O ports handle keyboard, mouse, display and network connections using existing peripherals. Ensure the chosen display has a compatible video input for the integrated graphics output.

Questions about this item

What monitor connection does the M920t tower need so I can use the display I already own?

The tower has no built-in screen, so you must supply a monitor with a compatible video input such as HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA.

Can I keep my existing 3.5-inch SATA hard drive and add it to the 500 GB drive already installed?

Yes, the system uses SATA storage, so an additional 3.5-inch SATA hard drive can be connected alongside the factory 500 GB unit.

How do I confirm Windows 11 Pro is properly activated on the i5-8500 system after first boot?

Open Settings, go to System then Activation, and verify the edition shows Windows 11 Pro with a digital licence status.
