Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Mini is a small-form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i7-6700T processor with a base speed up to 3.60 GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe drive, plus Windows 11 Pro already installed. A wireless keyboard, mouse and Wi-Fi adapter are included for immediate use.

Replaces a tower workstation

This unit upgrades from a traditional full-size tower when desk space is limited and silent operation matters more than discrete graphics. The jump is worth it for office suites, video calls and multi-monitor productivity via the two DisplayPort outputs. It is not for buyers who need a dedicated GPU for 3D rendering or gaming workloads.

Simple peripheral setup

Connect power, attach up to two monitors through DisplayPort, plug in the supplied keyboard and mouse dongle, and the system is ready. The compact chassis limits internal expansion, so adding a second drive or a discrete card is not practical. Ensure your displays use DisplayPort or suitable adapters before unboxing.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the Mini form factor need for the front USB 3.0 ports and rear DisplayPort connectors?

The unit is a compact Mini chassis; leave a few centimetres at the front for the two USB 3.0 ports and at the rear for the two DisplayPort outputs plus four USB 3.0 ports, RJ-45 and audio jack.

Which screw must be removed first to open the case for the 512 GB NVMe drive or DDR4 memory?

Loosen the single captive thumbscrew on the bottom cover, lift the cover away, then the M.2 slot and two DDR4 SO-DIMM sockets are exposed — skipping the thumbscrew is the step most people miss.

Can the 32 GB DDR4 memory be expanded later and is the 512 GB NVMe drive replaceable?

Two SO-DIMM slots support up to 32 GB total DDR4 so the current 32 GB fills both slots; the M.2 2280 NVMe drive can be swapped for a larger one when more storage is needed.
