ThinkCentre neo 55s SFF desktop

The ThinkCentre neo 55s is a small-form-factor business desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor with eight cores and a 4.90 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 2 TB PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment in professional environments.

Wired keyboard and mouse included

A US-layout wired keyboard and wired mouse are supplied in the box so the system is ready to use without extra peripherals. The package does not contain an optical drive or a media card reader. Wireless connectivity is limited to Wi-Fi 5 with no Bluetooth support, so short-range accessories will require a separate adapter.

DDR5 SODIMM slots both occupied

The motherboard provides two DDR5 SODIMM slots and both are populated to reach the 64 GB total, leaving no free slot for further memory expansion. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics drive the HDMI and full-size DisplayPort outputs for dual-monitor setups. Four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports handle wired peripherals.

Questions about this item

How many DDR5 SODIMM slots are free for future memory upgrades?

Both of the two DDR5 SODIMM slots are already populated with the 64 GB kit, so adding more memory would require replacing the existing modules rather than simply plugging in extra sticks.

Which component is likely to throttle first during long, heavy workloads?

The AMD Ryzen 7 250 processor, running at up to 4.9 GHz turbo within the compact small-form-factor chassis, will hit its thermal limits before the 64 GB DDR5 memory or the 2 TB PCIe M.2 SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud is the air cooler when the system runs at full load all day?

The air-cooling solution spins up noticeably under sustained 4.9 GHz turbo loads, producing an audible but not intrusive fan noise typical of a 9.55 lb business desktop in a 3.5 in wide chassis.
