Product identity

The Lenovo ThinkPad 20S60015US is a 15.6 inch business laptop with a Full HD non-touch display. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-10610U processor with 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. Integrated graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 screen. Thunderbolt over USB-C, HDMI, Bluetooth and a webcam are included.

Upgrade context

This model replaces an older work notebook that lacks Thunderbolt or a modern quad-core processor. The jump is worth it when you need faster single-thread speed for office suites and the convenience of a single-cable dock connection. The 256 GB drive handles a standard corporate image and local files without external storage.

Buyer fit

Suits mobile professionals who value a durable black chassis, legacy HDMI output and Windows 10 Pro downgrade rights. Not for buyers who want more storage or memory than the soldered 8 GB and fixed 256 GB provide. Not for users who require a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a higher-resolution panel.

Questions about this item

The ThinkPad T Series design includes a Kensington security slot on the side of the 15.6" body.

Which driver must be installed first so the Thunderbolt ports work on Windows 10 Pro?

Install the Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 driver package before any dock or monitor firmware, otherwise the ports stay inactive.

Is the 8GB memory soldered or can I swap in a larger SO-DIMM later?

This model uses a single soldered 8GB module, so the memory cannot be upgraded after purchase.
