ThinkPad E15 G2 business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad E15 G2 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. It runs on an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. The 1920 x 1080 IPS display offers 300 nits brightness and 100 percent sRGB coverage in a non-touch, antiglare finish. Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Suited for office work, not heavy creative loads

This configuration suits mobile workers, students and small-business users who prioritise portability, a fingerprint reader and WiFi 6 connectivity for daily productivity. The quad-core Tiger Lake CPU and shared graphics memory are not intended for sustained 3D rendering, video editing or gaming workloads that demand discrete GPU power or larger memory capacity. Buyers who need more storage or higher multi-core performance should look at something else.

Steady thermals during long sessions

The cooling system is designed to maintain optimum temperature while running multiple applications over extended periods. Shared video memory means graphics performance scales with available system RAM, so prolonged heavy multitasking may reduce frame rates compared to short bursts. The 8 MB L3 cache helps keep the quad-core processor responsive during typical office workflows.

Questions about this item

What DDR4 memory speed must the laptop already support to run the installed 8 GB module?

The system uses DDR4 memory with the installed 8 GB module running at the processor's supported speed.

Will the Intel Iris Xe graphics drive a legacy 1920 x 1080 monitor over HDMI without scaling issues?

The Intel Iris Xe graphics output 1920 x 1080 natively so a matching external monitor will display pixel-for-pixel.

How can I confirm the 256 GB SSD is recognised at full capacity in Windows 10 Pro?

Open Settings > System > Storage and verify the drive shows 256 GB total space with the OS partition active.
