14-inch Windows 10 Pro laptop

This Lenovo Thinkpad L14 G2 is a 14-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It uses an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U hexa-core processor at 2.30 GHz with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics. The system includes 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD.

Mobile workers needing long battery life

It suits professionals who need a portable 14.0-inch device with a 12-hour battery and WiFi 6 for remote productivity. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a touchscreen display should look at other models.

8 GB DDR4 memory configuration

The single specification that decides fit is the 8 GB DDR4 memory, which is soldered and not upgradeable. This limits heavy multitasking and virtual machine use compared to configurations with larger RAM.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" 1920 x 1080 display and WiFi 6 work with my older USB-C dock and monitor?

The 14.0" 1920 x 1080 panel and WiFi 6 radio are standard interfaces, so they will communicate with any dock or monitor that supports those same connections.

How can I verify the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U and 8GB DDR4 are running at the stated 2.30 GHz after setup?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or run a simple CPU-Z check; both will show the six-core Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U at 2.30 GHz and the 8GB DDR4 memory speed.

Does the box include a 256GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro licence and power adapter, or must I buy any of those separately?

The laptop ships with the 256GB SSD installed, Windows 10 Pro pre-loaded and a power adapter in the box; nothing extra is required to start working.
