Business laptop for office work

The Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 1 is a 14.0 inch notebook built around a 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10510U processor with four cores and eight threads. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics uses shared system memory. It suits professionals handling documents, web apps and video calls.

Thermals and power in daily use

The quad-core CPU runs at a 1.80 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.90 GHz when workload allows. Integrated graphics keep the thermal load modest during typical office tasks. The 14.0 inch HD anti-glare panel is rated at 220 nits. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11AX with a 2x2 configuration plus Bluetooth 5.2. No Ethernet port is fitted.

Connectivity and included software

Wireless AX and Bluetooth 5.2 handle peripherals and network access without cables. Windows 11 Pro provides business management features such as BitLocker and remote desktop. The HD display resolution of 1366 x 768 limits multitasking space for users who need multiple full-width windows. Buyers who want more storage or a dedicated GPU should consider other models.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512 GB PCIe SSD in the ThinkPad L14 Gen 1?

The 512 GB PCIe SSD is already installed as the primary drive in the M.2 slot. No installation step is required unless you are adding a second drive.

What maintenance will the 16 GB DDR4 2667MHz RAM need later?

The 16 GB DDR4 2667MHz RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced. Keep the vents clear to avoid thermal throttling.

At what point does the Intel UHD Graphics limit appear under sustained load?

The Intel UHD Graphics uses shared system memory from the 16 GB DDR4 pool. Heavy graphical workloads will hit that memory ceiling first.
