Business laptop for mobile professionals

The ThinkPad L14 is a 14 inch notebook built around a quad-core Intel Core i7-10510U processor with a 4.9GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. The 1920 x 1080 IPS panel provides wide viewing angles for office work and media.

Sustained performance with integrated graphics

The U-series CPU balances speed and thermal output for typical business workloads such as document editing, video calls and web browsing. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU. The 32GB memory ceiling supports heavy multitasking, while the NVMe drive keeps boot and application launch times short during extended sessions.

Connectivity and display limits

Video output relies on the HDMI port for external monitors. Wireless networking uses standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios. The 720p webcam covers basic conferencing needs. Storage expansion is constrained by the single NVMe slot already occupied at maximum supported memory capacity.

Questions about this item

How loud does the fan get when the Core i7-10510U runs at 4.9 GHz all day?

The quad-core processor has a base frequency of 1.80 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.9 GHz; actual fan noise depends on workload and thermal conditions inside the 14.0 inch chassis.

What memory modules are required to reach the 32 GB DDR4 capacity?

The laptop uses SO-DIMM DDR4 memory running at 2400 MHz and supports a maximum of 32 GB, which is already installed.

Can the HDMI output drive a 1920 x 1080 monitor alongside the built-in IPS panel?

The HDMI port and integrated Intel UHD Graphics can drive an external FHD display while the internal 14.0 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen remains active.
