Purpose-built laptop

The ThinkPad L15 Gen 2 ships with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 15.6-inch 1920x1080 IPS panel at 60Hz. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday workloads and light media tasks.

Installation reality

The unit arrives fully assembled with the operating system pre-loaded, so no internal installation is required. The 65W power adapter connects via the Thunderbolt 4 port. Users should verify that any dock or monitor cable matches the single HDMI and Thunderbolt 4 outputs to avoid adapter mismatches.

Interface limits

Wi-Fi 6E AX210 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide modern wireless connectivity, but throughput depends on the router and environment. The two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports top out at 5 Gbps, while Thunderbolt 4 supports higher speeds and external GPUs within its own bandwidth ceiling. The microSD slot and 720p webcam serve basic peripheral and conferencing needs.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 2.40 GHz quad-core i5-1135G7 is running at its 4.2 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency climb toward 4.2 GHz under load; the 8 MB L3 cache and 8 threads will be listed there too.

What ships in the box and what must I source separately for the 15.6" 1920x1080 60 Hz panel and Thunderbolt 4 port?

The laptop, 65 W power supply and 3-cell 45 Whr battery are included; no dock, external monitor or Thunderbolt 4 cable is supplied.

Which configuration should I choose if I need 16 GB DDR4 and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe drive for Windows 11 Pro 64-bit?

This single SKU already provides 16 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM, 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Pro 64-bit — no other capacity or memory option is offered.
