Ready for business and study

This Lenovo ThinkPad L15 Gen 2 is a new 15.6 inch laptop built around an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 1920 x 1080 touchscreen runs at 60Hz and uses Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, making it suitable for office work, video calls and everyday multitasking.

Straightforward setup with few surprises

The system arrives fully assembled and configured, so first boot only requires the usual Windows account steps. Driver updates for Wi-Fi 6E AX210 and Bluetooth 5.2 may appear automatically; allow them to finish before heavy wireless use. The 65W power adapter uses a proprietary tip, so keep it handy — replacement tips are not universal. A micro SD slot is present but sits flush, so cards do not click in like full-size slots.

Check your peripherals and workflow

Verify that your external monitors use HDMI or USB-C with DisplayPort alt-mode, as those are the only video outputs. Thunderbolt 4 supports docks and high-speed storage, but legacy Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C devices without alt-mode will not drive a display. The 45 Whr battery and 65W charger are sized for typical office hours; all-day unplugged use will need a power bank or spare adapter. Users who need discrete graphics, a second drive bay or a larger battery should look elsewhere.
