16-inch business laptop with Ryzen 7 PRO

This Lenovo ThinkPad L16 Gen 2 runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250 processor with integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics. It comes with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal SSD. The 16-inch IPS display operates at 60 Hz and does not support touch input. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro.

Suited for office workers needing a durable daily

The configuration fits professionals who want a lightweight 1.00 lbs chassis with a three-cell battery for standard productivity tasks. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for creative rendering or gaming should look at something else. Users requiring a backlit keyboard or a higher refresh rate panel will not find those features here.

AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 250 processor

This CPU and GPU combination determines whether the laptop can handle your workload without a discrete graphics chip. The 512 GB Opal-encrypted SSD sets the storage ceiling for local files. Verify that the single-core processor design and 60 Hz screen meet the performance and visual requirements of your applications.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 SSD and what step is often missed?

Insert the 2280 drive at an angle into the M.2 slot, secure it with the single retention screw, then enable the Opal encryption feature in the BIOS before installing the OS — skipping the BIOS step leaves the drive unencrypted.

Which customer-replaceable units will need attention over the life of this 21SC001AUS?

The 3-cell lithium-ion battery and the M.2 2280 SSD are designated as customer-replaceable units; the 16 GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded.

At what point does the integrated AMD Radeon 780M hit its thermal ceiling during sustained workloads?

The 60 Hz IPS panel and 1.00 lb chassis limit sustained GPU output; under continuous load the 780M throttles once the shared cooling reaches its capacity, capping frame rates well below peak.
