Mobile workstation with Xeon and RTX A4000

The Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 2 combines an Intel Xeon W-11855M processor with an Nvidia RTX A4000 8GB DDR6 Max Q GPU. It ships with 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 15.6" IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution at 500 nits with Dolby HDR. Windows 10 Pro for Workstations 64-bit is pre-installed.

Connectivity and expansion checklist

Verify that your peripherals match the available ports: two USB 3.2 Type-A, two Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C, one additional USB-C, HDMI 2.0, LAN and an SD card reader. Wireless uses WIFI 6E and Bluetooth. The IR webcam supports Windows Hello. Ensure your dock or monitor cables suit these interfaces before ordering.

Thermals and power profile

The Max Q graphics configuration moderates peak GPU power draw for a thinner chassis. Under sustained compute or rendering loads the dual-fan cooling system will spin up audibly. Battery life varies with workload intensity and the 500-nit screen brightness setting. The included AC adapter supplies the power required for full CPU and GPU performance.
