Lenovo ThinkPad P50 Workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad P50 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7 6th generation quad-core processor. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD running Windows 10 Professional 64Bit. The NVIDIA Quadro M1000M GPU handles professional graphics tasks. This unit is sold new with a fresh SSD installed.

Suits ISV-certified workflows not modern gaming

Engineers and designers running certified CAD or 3D applications on Windows 10 will find the Quadro M1000M driver stack reliable. The 8GB memory ceiling and sixth-generation architecture limit performance in current AAA titles or heavy virtualisation. Buyers who need more memory capacity or newer CPU instruction sets should look at something else.

1TB SSD determines storage headroom

The installed 1TB solid-state drive sets the total space available for the operating system, applications and active project files. No secondary drive bay is populated. Users with large local datasets or multiple virtual machines will hit that limit quickly.
