Mobile workstation with Quadro M1000M

The Lenovo ThinkPad P50 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor and NVIDIA Quadro M1000M graphics. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. Windows 8.1 Pro is pre-installed and the unit is supplied in new condition.

For ISV-certified workflows on Windows 8.1

This system suits professionals who need ISV certification across more than 100 applications and a Full HD IPS display for colour-critical work. The spill-resistant keyboard, fingerprint reader and 3.5 GHz maximum turbo frequency support secure, sustained productivity. Buyers who require a current-generation operating system or a higher-resolution panel should look elsewhere.

64GB DDR4 memory capacity

The 64GB DDR4 configuration is the specification that determines whether this workstation can hold large assemblies, datasets or virtual machines without paging. Combined with the 512GB SSD and Quadro M1000M GPU, it defines the practical limit for simultaneous professional workloads on this platform.

Questions about this item

What operating system must I already have licences for if I plan to downgrade from the installed Windows 8.1 Pro?

The laptop ships with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit; any downgrade requires your own valid licence media and product key for the target OS.

Will my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work if I decide to rearrange the 64GB already installed?

The system uses DDR4 memory; the 64GB is factory-installed, so additional modules are unnecessary unless you replace the existing configuration.

How can I confirm the NVIDIA Quadro M1000M is active after setup?

Open Device Manager or the NVIDIA Control Panel; the Quadro M1000M should appear under Display adapters with driver version details.
